Hi,

Today I just looked again for a solution to watch flash movies (Hulu etc.) on my iPhone

Finaly I found a simple Solution that works fine as long you just like to watch, not interact, whats on your PC/Mac.

1. I installed SoundFlower http://cycling74.com/products/soundflower/ that routes Audio to another Source.

2. I downloaded “CamTwist” http://allocinit.com/index.php?title=CamTwist  where I selected a partial frame from my Desktop and set it as a new virtual WebCam.

3. I installed the App (iCam webcam video streaming) from iTunes on my iPhone and installed the server app “iCamSource” (from the same developer) on my iMac. There I selected CamTwist as Webcam Source and Soundflower as AudioDevice. (in Preferences I made Soundflower get all Audio Output)

VOILA … Every Movie I can watch on my Mac i can watch now WITH AUDIO on my iPhone :)

Hope you like it.

Chris

When I started with Computers it was around 1982. The 80286 from IBM was available and the C64 from Commodore changed the World. 1984 I went crazy with the Amiga 1000 and coded like hell. 1988 I worked with Windows 2.0 because I thought I need some Business Software and 1992 I found my Connection into the network World by connecting my Computer to the worldwide Fido Network. 1996 I faced the internet and around 2000 I had quit enough Experience to come a Senior in several Topics.

But whats next? Since the Internet established I also miss some really cool new Innovations. Yahoo was there, Google came, YouTube and Facebook, ok.. but I mean.. are I am the only one who does feel quit a bit bored about all that. Missing a real new challenge in the field of Computer and Networking.

I am not talking about new Languages like AJAX or Google GWT Books, what I am looking for is something really new, where not so many People talk about but could be the next Jump in Computing. Maybe you think coding for the IPhone or for Android will change the World, let me know and why do you think. I am daily reading about whats new in the Net and whats so called Trendy, finally I found for sure a lot of Inspirations but still missing this special Topic where everyone may talk about in 1-2 Years.

So my Question is, maybe I came old and blind, but what do you think is really a breakthrough technology in this days, that may change the world of coding and experiencing computers at all in a brand new way? Like from C64 To Amiga, or from Offline to ONline.. from Yahoo to Google?

I am really interested to hear from you. Why? Because I need some new Challenge :)

Dinosaurs were so dim-witted they didn’t even have the brains to duck when that humungous asteroid smashed into the Earth. That’s why we were sceptical when we heard about a highly intelligent prehistoric plaything called Pleo. We needn’t have worried because this unbelievably cute little Camarasaurus is one of the most amazing robotic pets we’ve ever seen, and we’ve seen ‘em all.

Emotions:

Pleo

Happy and curious

Playful and

lively

Scared and surprised

Sad and

vexed

Pleo

Rechargable battery

Unlike other interactive creatures, Pleo is completely autonomous and totally unique. It explores its environment without any help from a controller, moves organically, interacts with its owner and expresses emotions based on its life experiences. It’s just like owning a living, breathing creature. Incredible!

Awareness:

Pleo

Senses

Drives

Communication

Pleo

Pleo’s training leaf

Pleo starts life as a hatchling and develops his own personality, habits and moods based on the time he spends with you. You’ll be smitten the second this charming little critter opens its eyes, adjusts to the light and enjoys its first stretch. Pleo’s natural disposition is happy and curious but his emotions change according to the way you interact with him. He might be playful and lively after a tug-of-war, scared and surprised during his first few days or sad and forlorn if you ignore him. He’ll even limp if he’s hurt and yawn when his rechargeable battery is low.

Evolution:

Pleo

Hatchling

Infant

Juvenile

Pleo Battery and Charging Station

As Pleo becomes more aware of his surroundings he’ll grow in confidence and start to display his abilities – and what abilities! With over 100 gears, 14 motors and a mega-sophisticated sensory system, including light, sound and motion sensors, Pleo can see, hear, touch and detect objects, move with incredible fluidity and even communicate by honking in dinosaur language (well that’s what it sounds like to us).

If you’ve ever fancied raising a pet but can’t be bothered with all that pooping and feeding business, Pleo is perfect. So forget about self-obsessed cats, drooling dogs and do-nothing goldfish. There’s a new pet in town and its name is Pleo!

Whats inside Pleo:
